Dunsyre Cavalier selected for the young bull proving scheme
15 January 2011
Dunsyre Cavalier is the first Beef Shorthorn to be selected under the EBLEX young bull proving scheme. Under the scheme 5 straws of semen from the bull has been distributed free of charge to 20 breeders. The aim is to enable comparisons within and between herds to be made and strengthen genetic linkages.
Dunsyre Cavalier has the very desirable combination of high growth rates, easy calving and high milk figures. His figures are a reflection of the quality of his breeding. Sired by the exceptional Dunsyre Wolfstone, who himself was sired by Sutherland Bundaberg, Cavalier is out of the highly productive Meadowsweet family.
